The Logo of the Istanbul Toy Museum
Nasreddin Hodja who lived in the 13th century was a populist Turkish philosopher and a wise man remembered for his funny stories and anectodes. In comics he was generally depicted as an old man sitting on his donkey facing the tail.
The Bald Boy (Keloglan), is a fictitious funny character in the traditional Turkish tales.
Turkish children are still reading the Nasreddin Hodja jokes and Bald Boy tales with themes of wisdom, irony, indulgence, creativity and respect.
The Istanbul Toy Museum Logo combines these two characters in the history of the Turkish sense of humor.
